RAHC sponsored a Remote Emergency Care (REC) course in Melbourne in Nov/Dec. It was a fantastic weekend with 24 RAHC nurses attending.
The course was conducted by CRANAplus at the Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) Building in Melbourne.
We’d like to offer special thanks to Kim Henderson for sending us these photos of the event.
The Remote Emergency Care (REC) course
The Remote Emergency Care (REC) course has been developed in consultation with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the College of Emergency Medicine. The REC course is designed to enable remote Health Professionals (HPs) to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to respond with confidence in emergency situations and to deliver safe and quality care in the remote setting.
The course is challenging, informative and relevant to the management of the critically ill or injured.
